The rules for using Studious

1. What Studious is

Studious helps you study university courses: lessons built on course outlines, adaptive practice, mock exams, past papers, plans, and Buddy, an AI tutor. It is a study aid. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, your university unless we say so, and it doesn’t replace your classes, teachers or official course material.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16; if you’re under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission.
• Give accurate details and keep your password private. One account per person.
• You’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.

3. Fair use

You agree not to:

• use Studious to cheat: for example, during a graded exam or quiz, or to submit Buddy’s work as your own where your university forbids it;
• upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that is illegal, hateful or abusive;
• harass other students in study groups;
• copy, scrape or resell our lessons and questions, or try to get around plan limits;
• break, overload or probe the service, or access other people’s accounts or data.

You are responsible for following your university’s academic integrity rules.

4. Buddy and AI answers

Buddy is an AI and can make mistakes. Its explanations, marks and predictions are guidance, not guarantees. Check important information, such as exam dates, grading and syllabus, with your university. We don’t promise any particular grade or result.

5. Your content and ours

You keep ownership of what you upload or write. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Studious for you, for example to show your notes or let Buddy read them. Lessons, questions, design, the Studious name and logo belong to us; you may use them for your own study, not to republish or sell.

6. Free and Pro plans

• The Free plan has daily limits, shown in the app.
• Pro is paid monthly or yearly in Pakistani rupees, by card, JazzCash or Easypaisa. Prices are shown before you pay and include any taxes we must charge.
• Pro renews at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Billing; Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• If you were charged by mistake, or Studious didn’t work for you because of a fault on our side, write to us within 14 days and we’ll make it right, including a refund where fair. Otherwise payments aren’t refundable for part-used periods.
• We’ll tell you at least 14 days before a price change affects your renewal.

7. Ending your account

You can stop using Studious and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that’s reasonable. If we ever shut down Studious, we’ll give you notice and a chance to get your data.

8. Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Studious accurate and available, but we provide it “as is”, and it may sometimes be down or contain errors. As far as Pakistani law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as a lower grade, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Please write to us first; most problems can be solved quickly. If not, the courts of Karachi have jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as Studious grows. We’ll change the date above, and for important changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using Studious after that means you accept the new terms. Contact: support@trystudious.me.
